At Inviocare, we use the FDA-approved SkinPen, which is the first microneedling device in the world to be approved by the US Drug Administration (USFDA). It is clinically documented to treat scars after, for example, acne on the face or body.
It works by an electric piston with 16 small thin needles penetrating the skin in a varying depth from 0.5 to 2.5 mm.

Treatment and effect
The treatment works by creating and controlling microtrauma on the skin using the many thousands of micro-penetrations that are created in the subcutaneous tissue. In this way, the skin’s fibroblasts stimulate the formation of new collagen, which is the structure that is in the skin’s connective tissue and which is essential for elasticity and prevents the skin from becoming flabby and wrinkled. The small micro “holes” that make up the skin break the small capillaries, just below the surface of the skin, and therefore create an ideal starting point for strengthening the body’s own production of elastin and collagen. When you create these microtraumas, the body’s wound healing process is set in motion. This process is approx. 4 weeks on and create new collagen. 3-5 treatments are recommended and significantly improved with repeated treatments.
The treatment can be used by both men and women, on all skin types and all year round.
